Dhanaulti Eco Park:

Spread over an area of 13 hectares covered in deodar and oak trees, Eco Park is one of the most visited attractions of Dhanaulti. It was developed by the DFO and the citizens of Dhanaulti to create employment opportunities for the poor people taken as a measure to reduce poverty. Located at the height of 7800 m above the sea level, this place has enjoyable weather throughout the year. The park is very well-maintained and is an amazing place for the kids to hang out with a separate playground for them. A tradition known as memory sapling plantation is followed in the park as a part of which one can plant a sapling in memory of their loved ones. The Eco Park is divided into two forests namely Amber and Dhara which are situated at a distance of 200m from each other. The most attractive feature of the forest is that it has been developed with the help of the local youth. The perfect beauty of Eco Park is what makes tourists visit the place. Being a lovely picnic spot, thousands of visitors come here often. More so, one gets a superb view of the Himalayas from this point. The best time to visit the park is during sunrise and sunset under the multi-shaded sky. It is a perfect place for the nature lovers as well as the adventurous ones to unwind and spend some time full of solitude.

Surkanda Devi Temple Trek:

Surkanda Devi Temple is the highest point in the area, located at a height of 3021 mt on the top of a hill. Situated at an elevation of 3, 030 m above sea level near the village Kaddukhal, the temple of Surkanda Devi is a lovely place to visit. The temple is famous for its architectural marvel and the verdant surroundings. Visitors can go up to Kaddu Khal (Devasthali) by bus or by car from where the temple is about 2 km on foot. It is situated about 35 km from Mussoorie and 11 km from Dhanaulti. It is an important pilgrimage centre. The temple offers extensive view of the snow ranges and exclusive experience one can never forget.

Tehri Dam Activities

Boating:

You can enjoy the sound of water and the sway of it by renting a boat and taking a boat tour in the lake. The beauty of your surroundings and the peace of mind you will experience in the boat can't be described in words.

Water Skiing:

The jet skiing or riding a water scooter is a bit more adventurous than boating. The water can get scary for the first timers. If you are a newbie, tell your guide about it so that you can ski on flat water only.

Zorbing:

Ever thought of walking on water? You can do it as a part of your Tehri water sport experience. You can try to run on the water by using a few meter long inflatable zorb that looks like a ball but is extremely safe.

Banana Boat Ride:

Feel closer to the water while enjoying the delight of a banana boat. This is an inflatable boat with fewer passengers and more fun.

Bandwagon Boat Ride:

Enjoy the bumpiest water ride of your life by trying this unique boat in which you can sit comfortably by leaning on the support. You will be held by a safety harness. The speed of the boat and splashing water would etch itself in your memory forever.

Paragliding:

Paragliding is among the topmost Tehri Lake adventure sports. Though it's not water based but the joy you get while flying in a light weight and free flying glider aircraft is hard to express in words. You can only feel it. And yes, the bird-eye view of the lake surroundings would surely leave you breathless for a minute.
